Since launching Kinetic in 2007 from her heart and the living room of her Billings home, Dana Pulis has been focused on moving businesses forward through creative, aggressive marketing communications.
Her intense focus has produced amazing results for a growing list of local, regional and national clients.
That same focus has allowed her to dramatically grow her own company, which doubled its size in 2016.
Dana has become a nationally known advertising and marketing expert. She’s an award-winning writer, accomplished public speaker and respected business leader. She recruits top professionals to her agency – account directors and planners looking for their next challenge, graphic designers and writers looking to push their creative boundaries, and support staff willing to help her team meet the needs of clients.
As she told The Billings Gazette after being named one of its 20 Exceptional Women for 2016, “I have very, very good people who are doing their best. I have surrounded myself with people who are smarter than me and better than me and are exceptional in their talent.”
She invests in her employees – in career-development opportunities, team-building sessions, gym memberships and other actions that generate enthusiasm in the workplace and exceptional results for our clients.
Dana was an in-demand freelance writer before she started Kinetic. With her journalism degree from Brigham Young University and experience writing for numerous magazines and newspapers, she knows how to tell a story and engage readers.
She now helps companies large and small tell their stories and build their own businesses. Her team has completed brand developments for dozens of organizations and firms. We have worked with companies across a wide variety of industries with a wide variety of marketing and communication needs.
More and more, companies facing challenges from rapid change are turning to Dana and her team to help them develop marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics to achieve their business goals.
A big part of Dana’s success is her ability to understand her customers. She loves to get to know them – who they are, what they do and the challenges they face. She then helps create results-oriented, customized marketing plans that move them forward. She’s not afraid to tell it like it is and to nudge clients in the direction she believes will lead them to greater success.
“I have a fantastic team and we get to work with clients that are doing great things,” she says. “It’s really exciting and extremely gratifying to be the catalyst to raise them to an even higher level.”
More about Dana:

- She’s trained in the culinary arts and would be the perfect competitor on Chopped, the Food Network’s cooking competition. She can make a gourmet meal out of grass clippings, a chicken wing and goat cheese.
- As a wife, the mother of three boys, and CEO of a 15-person agency, Dana is an accomplished multitasker and master iPhone scheduler.
- In another life, she’d live in a sustainable home on the outskirts of Bozeman, feeding chickens, growing a garden, wearing mismatched clothes and blogging about the evils of GMOs.
