Recreation Adventure Company (RAC) is the largest franchisee of KOA campgrounds, managing a diverse portfolio of outdoor destinations ranging from rustic dude ranches to modern resorts. As a long-term partner, Kinetic’s goal is to consistently outperform past campaigns. The goal was to drive high-volume reservations, increase bookings for specific “ways to stay” (cabins, tent sites and RV pads) and expand RAC’s market share across 15 unique geographic locations.

Actions

Kinetic engineered a localized, full-funnel digital ecosystem tailored to the specific seasonality of each of the 15 properties. Our approach focused on:

  • Targeted Messaging Optimized for Engagement: Custom creative for pre-summer planning, prime season, and last-minute trips through Fall and Winter. We developed a modular design system that delivered personalized messaging across Facebook and Instagram, optimized for high-engagement placements like Reels and Stories.
  • Search & Scale: Optimizing budgets through Google Search and scaling through Performance Max to capture high-intent campers across the booking journey from “dreaming” to “last-minute trip.”
  • Data-Backed Iteration: We used performance data from previous campaigns to refine messaging, targeting and budgets for both new and repeat customers.
  • Holistic Transparency: Every dollar was tracked via a custom performance dashboard, accounting for labor, ad spend, and real-time return to ensure maximum budget efficiency.
  • Email and Mailer Creative Support: Beyond digital ads, we provided creative assets for email marketing and direct mailers to ensure a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints, driving loyalty and re-engaging past guests.

Results

By maintaining granular optimizations for each of the 15 locations, Kinetic achieved a high-efficiency growth model that allowed revenue to outpace investment significantly.
